The 21st Luxembourg Museum Days attracted a total of 18,708 visitors across all its 40 locations across the Grand Duchy last week-end, representing more than 24% increase compared to 2017.

The Luxembourg Museum Days were a time of privileged meetings between museums and their public, the two days being held in a friendly atmosphere, punctuated with animations, exchanges and activities for all the family.

Peaks of attendance were recorded at the MUDAM - Museum of Modern Art Grand Duke Jean (2,737 people), the National Museum of History and Art (2,341 people) and the Lëtzebuerg City Museum (1,817 people).

Among the museums that took part in the event for the first time were the Pomjee Museum in Senningen, the former Pfaffenthal mustard factory called the Muerbelsmillen, the distillery museum in Kehlen and the General Patton Memorial Museum in Ettelbruck.

The 22nd edition of the Luxembourg Museum Days will take place on 18 and 19 May 2019.
