To mark the release of his first single “Whatever We Find Suitable To Compare”, Bartleby Delicate will perform at Rotondes on 9 May 2018.

For the start of the 13-date tour through Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, Bartleby Delicate released his first EP Whatever We Find Suitable To Compare on the 23 April. The Luxembourg singer-songwriter is joining the German indie-duo Bender & Schillinger on tour to present his first EP to the German audience.

Bartleby Delicate is the new solo-project of the musician Georges Goerens (Seed to Tree). However, despite only one year of existence, Bartleby Delicate has already performed at the renowned Great Escape Festival in Brighton and is aiming to reach a wider audience.

The four songs on the EP have a strong folk basis led by characteristic vocals and guitar pickings. The song arrangements stay minimalistic dipping into noise and ambient sounds underlining the melancholic atmosphere. The songs were written and recorded between January 2017 and February 2018 together with the producer Tom Gatti (Eternal Tango, Fox).

Whatever We Find Suitable To Compare is a compilation of fragments reflecting the human condition in a globalised and digitalised world from the perspective of a young Luxembourg artist. Thoughts on the current social and political situation combined with a critical introspective on the ambivalence of human behaviour try to lead to new ideas on how a genuine communication beyond borders could be possible. A poetic and musical contribution is Bartleby Delicate’s first result.

Back from Germany, Bartleby Delicate will be releasing the physical CD during a concert at Rotondes in May. This will be the first full headline show demonstrating the diversity of Bartleby Delicate’s music as well as the narrative aspect of the performance. The German indie-folk duo Bender & Schillinger and the young Luxembourg singer-songwriter C’est Karma will complete the line-up.
