Luxembourg melodic rock band Stelise will be releasing their first album "If There Is An Escape" on 5 October 2018 at 20:00 at Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette.

The band, which combines rock with trip-hop influences, will launch their debut album, featuring 12 songs, in Luxembourg's second biggest city next month; the support acts will be Zero Point Five and The Blues Bastards.

Stelise began in August 2016. The project started with Steve Richer on guitar and Elise Nunes on vocals, hence the combination of the two first names to form the band's name, with a first acoustic track entitled "Empty", which they performed at various Open Mic gigs. Taking the project to the next level, the two artists added a second guitarist (Kevin Reinert), who played in the groups Try This and Stories of a City, a bassist (Mirko Spitoni) who played in the Harmony Suessem, a drummer (Paulo Nunes), who played in the bands Fast Friday, Moonlight in the Desert and Meds and a keyboardist (Joel Wagner) who was also part of the band Thunderroad.

The group has meanwhile performed at various local scenes and supported other Luxembourg groups like Alien Pitch Cat or Ptolemea. They also played at this summer's Rock Um Knuedler in Luxembourg-City and the Bridel Music Festival.

In December 2017, the band went to GAM STUDIOS in Waimes, Belgium (Hooverphonic and Toten Hosen) to record their first album with 12 original tracks. All songs were written and composed by Elise Nunes and Steve Richer. The album essentially deals with all kinds of escape, including a rather personal piece on anorexia called "Ana". The other pieces deal with politics, love and hate, loneliness and their vision of the world.

The concert is free of charge.
