British theatrical sensation, Stomp, will be coming to Luxembourg next year, with shows scheduled for Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 May 2019 at 20:00 at the Rockhal.

The global phenomenon of Stomp is an infectious mix of percussion, dance, theatre and comedy with an exhilarating soundtrack inspired by the commotion of everyday life. Eight performers use everything from Zippo lighters, bin lids, and even the kitchen sink to hammer out an explosively feel-good rhythm enjoyed by audiences of all ages the world over.

The show was created in Brighton by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas in 1991, previewing at London's Bloomsbury Theatre and premiering to critical and popular acclaim at the Assembly Rooms at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Between 1991 and 1994, the original case of Stomp played to capacity audiences around the world, culminating in a sell-out season at London Sadler's Wells Theatre in January 1994, where Stomp received an Olivier nomination for Best Entertainment and won Best Choreography in a West End Show.

Stromp began its current run at the Orpheum Theatre in New York in February 1994, and the American tour began later that year. In 2002, Stomp entered London's West End at the Vaudeville Theatre and moved to its current home, the Ambassadors Theatre in 2007. All the while the show has been touring all corners of the globe.

Tickets cost between €33-€59 for adults and €23-€49 for under 12s. These can be purchased at www.atelier.lu.
