The first Starclass competition of the season took place in Davos, Switzerland earlier this month with skaters Peter Murphy, Augustin Géré and Caroline Murphy representing Luxembourg.
Peter, Augustin and Caroline all made good starts to the Europa Cup Final qualification, with Augustin Géré almost assured of a final place already.
Overall, Peter Murphy placed 8th/30 in the Boys Junior A (U20), Augustin Géré came 4th/36 in the Boys Junior B (U18) and 2nd in the 500m and Caroline Murphy placed 9th/27 in the Girls Junior B (U18) setting new record times of 47.240 in the 500m and 1:36.278 in the 1000m.
Moreover, Sunday 19 November saw the first Beneluxcup take place in Eindhoven, Netherlands, where Jimmy Kiesgen and Elisa Aulamo represented Luxembourg. Jimmy skated excellently and became the latest Luxembourg skater to achieve a Starclass qualifying time coming in 4th place out of 15 skaters in the Pupillen Division A (U14) with a new personal best time of 53.04 in the 500m. Meanwhile, Elisa Pupillen placed 11th/15 in the Division B (U14) with a personal best time of 44.07 in the 333m.
