The first participation at an international tournament by the Luxembourg Lacrosse Senior Men’s National Team, will be in July 2018 in Israel at the World Games; as part of the preparations, the Luxembourg Lacrosse Federation has appointed Khristopher Scott as Head Coach.

Khristopher lives in Vernon, British Columbia in Canada, and offers a wide range of relevant experience and qualifications. He has previous experience as a Junior Assistant Coach for the German national team at the European Championships in 2004, two German club teams and a range of box Lacrosse and field Lacrosse teams within Canada. Khristopher also brings relevant professional experience in project management and marketing, making him the right fit for the role.

Coach Scott described the role as "An exciting opportunity to grow the game we all love. I’m very honoured to be given the chance to helm our National Men’s team as they compete in their first World Championship. Any chance that you can help grow the game at a local and national level is exciting and I’m looking forward to working this great group from Luxembourg."

The Luxembourg Lacrosse Federation (LLF) is in the process of bringing on additional coaching appointments with Coach Scott and the support staff, all of which volunteer their time to the team. The General Manager of the team, Henning Schmidt, described the recruitment process as follows: "We knew we wanted a coach who can shape the team and lay the foundation for Luxembourg to compete effectively in years to come. We are happy with this first step and know that we have a lot of work ahead of us. It’s very exciting times for Luxembourg Lacrosse."

When asked what the makeup of the team would look like, or who should look to join, Coach Scott responded "If you commit to the team, we’re committing ourselves to you. We want players that want to learn and love the game and our coaching team wants to make that experience as positive and fun as possible, to help grow this game that we love. All that starts with your commitment to be part of something very special, the first games at a World Championship."
