Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel yesterday took part in the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The summit was dedicated to relations between the European Union and the Western Balkans under the theme of connectivity, with a view to improving links with the Western Balkans and the region. On this point, Prime Minister and Secretary of State Xavier Bettel said: "I see this as a way to provide opportunities for our citizens, and especially young people, and businesses", particularly highlighting "the development of our transport infrastructure, our digital infrastructure and links in the field of education ".
As for the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries, the Prime Minister commented: "Our meeting today underlines our willingness to work together to bring us together and remove the obstacles that separate us".
