Luxembourg Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, will participate in the ministerial meeting of the International Partnership against Impunity for the Use of Chemical Weapons in Paris on Friday 18 May 2018.

Launched on 23 January 2018 in Paris, the International Partnership against Impunity for the Use of Chemical Weapons, which brings together nearly 30 countries and international organisations, aims to complement international mechanisms to combat the proliferation of chemical weapons by working exclusively against the issue of impunity for those responsible for chemical attacks around the world.

The ministers' exchange of views will review Salisbury's nerve agent attack and chemical weapons attacks in Syria.

As well as the conference, Minister Asselborn will take the opportunity to exchange views with colleagues and other politicians on international issues.

Moreover, on Friday morning at 10:00, Minister Asselborn and his colleagues from the Government Cabinet will meet to pay tribute to the memory of the late state secretary Camille Gira.
