Yesterday marked the signature of an agreement between the French and Luxembourg governments concerning international road passenger transport "on-demand services".
On 7 June, in an attempt to meet the need for cross-border mobility, François Bausch, Luxembourg Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, and Elisabeth Borne, French Minister to the Minister of State, Minister of Ecological and Solidarity Transition in charge of Transport, signed an agreement on international road passenger on-demand transport services.
These on-demand services transport passengers from the geographical area of one of the two countries to that of the other country. These services are collective services offered according to the demands of travellers. They are executed under cover of an authorisation and the vehicles used for these services meet at least the European Euro VI standard in terms of pollutant emissions.
These services are limited, in the territory of the French Republic, to the geographical area grouping the departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle and Moselle of the Grand-Est region. The geographical area for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is the entire territory of Luxembourg.
