Electoral panels;

In advance of the national election on Sunday 14 October 2018, the Administration des Ponts et Chaussées (Roads & Bridges Authority) has issued a clarification concerning the installation and erection of electoral signs and posters.

All political parties that have applied for a road permit from the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure (MDDI) have the right to install electoral signs in unlimited numbers. However, their installation is subject to the rules of good practice, in order not to create dangerous situations in terms of road safety.

In the event that officers of the Roads Administration find that the installation of such a sign is indeed a danger, they are required to remove it and take it to the depot, to move it out of the danger zone, or to contact the party concerned to proceed with the removal or removal of the panel itself.
