A conference on the prospects of Brexit for Luxembourg will take place on Wednesday 13 March 2019 at the Bibliothèque nationale de Luxembourg, from 19:00.

The conference, organised by the non-profit association "Amicale des Anciens Résidents Luxembourgeois de la Fondation Biermans-Lapôtre à la Cité Universitaire de Paris", will take the form of a round-table entitled "On the eve of Brexit: what prospects for Luxembourg?" ("A la veille du Brexit : quelles perspectives pourle Luxembourg?").

The event will look at related issues, namely bilateral and financial relations between the UK and Luxembourg and the situation for students from these two nations following the UK's withdrawal from the EU.

Participants in the round-table will be Luxembourg Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna, UK Ambassador to Luxembourg John Marshall, CEO of the LHoFt Nazir Zubairi and student Philippe Frieden, who is studying in the UK. "Amicale" President François Biltgen will moderate the discussion.

The conference will be bilingual in French and English and is open to the public. For more information, email secretary-general John Wecker at weckerjohn@yahoo.com.

The Fondation Biermans-Lapôtre, organiser of the event, is the Belgian-Luxembourgish house in Paris offering low-cost accommodation to students, researchers and PhD students from these two countries.
