The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has reported that two new municipal councillors were sworn in on Monday 4 December 2023.
Mayor Lydie Polfer swore in Angélique Bartolini (CSV) and Bob Biver (CSV) as municipal councillors on Monday. They replace Elisabeth Margue and Serge Wilmes (both also CSV) on the Municipal Council of the City of Luxembourg following the latter's resignations to take up new responsibilities within the Luxembourg Government.
As of 17 November 2023, Elisabeth Margue serves as Luxembourg's Minister of Justice, as well as Minister Delegate for Media and Communications and Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister (and head of relations with Parliament). Serge Wilmes is the new Minister of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity and Minister for the Civil Service.
