The framework of the report has changed since St George’s was last inspected in 2015; in terms of regulations and formal frameworks the report allows the inspectors now firstly to only state whether the School is compliant with the eight British School Overseas Standards. The majority of the report is dedicated to the quality of the students’ learning and achievements and to the quality of their personal development. In both categories St George’s was judged to be ‘excellent’ – the highest grade possible.
In terms of the quality of the students’ personal development, the inspectors stated: "Students are self-confident and are determined to give their best in all situations. Self reflection and peer assessment are exceptionally strong features of classwork throughout the school, with students developing a clear awareness of their strengths and are a for improvement." [3.18]
Dr. C Barkei, St George’s Principal, concluded "This impressive inspection result is due collectively to the hard work and dedication of the students themselves as well as the teaching and assistant staff at the school, and the framework of support the administration staff provide. In addition, the Board of Governors provide unstinting encouragement and guidance to the School. Parents and families of students provide the final element of support for, and loyalty to, the School community of which we can all be very proud."
