The International School of Luxembourg (ISL) has announced that it will hold a Mayfest on Sunday 6 May 2018 from 12:00 to 16:00 at the school in Luxembourg-Merl.

Mayfest is the ISL's annual festival of fun, food and music to raise money for the school's Common Fund - where charity funds raised through specific fundraising efforts during the year are placed. The money is then distributed between the charities that ISL actively supports, those charities are:

• The Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, Vietnam
• Friends of the Philippines
• Kenako, South Africa
• Foundation Stamm, Brundi
• Handi’ Chiens, Luxembourg
• Orhanyie Inci Narin School, Turkey
• Global Issues Group, Femmes en detresse Luxembourg
• Tabitha Cambodia
• United World Schools – OI Tuch, Cambodia
• Emergency response charities: Red Cross, UNICEF, Medecins Sans Frontieres

The activities during Mayfest are run by ISL students with the guidance of the Common Charity Fund Committee. This year there will be a Fun Run at 10:00 (1km or 5km) and a whole host of entertainment including: live music, a BBQ, face painting, a jewellery and used book sale, an obstacle course, a football match, a lucky dip, lots of games, and basketball hoops for any budding NBA All Stars!

This event is oopen to the public. No prior registration is required.
