Students at St George’s International School have achieved excellent results in I/GCSE, A/S and A-Level exams, enabling their graduates to embark on further studies at universities worldwide.

A-Level Results

• 70% of examinations were graded A* or A
• 95% of examinations were graded A* to C
45% of all entries received the highest grade possible, an A*, whilst 70% of examination papers were graded A* or A. In total 95% of all examination papers achieved a grade C or above. These results mark a further improvement from the excellent 2017 results at the school.

A/S Level Results

• 66% of examinations graded A/B
• 81% of examinations graded A to C
66% of examination papers were graded at A or B and 81% of examination papers achieved at least a grade C. Most impressive was the fact that 41% of all entries received the top grade of A. At A/S there is no A* grade available.

I/GCSE Results

• 58% of examinations graded A*/A
• 93% of examinations graded A* to C

391 individual I/GCSE examinations were taken in total. A large majority of students in Year 11 took 10 subjects each with an overall good pass rate (A* to C) of 93%, whilst 58% of all examination papers were graded A* or A. 92% of our students achieved at least 5 grades from A* to C. These students will now progress on to the next school year (Year 12) where they will study their chosen A/S level subjects.

Mark Fleet, Head of Secondary, said: "I am delighted with the examination results this year, a credit to the hard work of both our students and staff. It is particularly pleasing to note that almost half of all our A Level results were graded A* - the highest possible grade. This has allowed 3 students to attend Oxbridge and many others to attend their first choice university. Well done to all!"

Dr Barkei (School Principal) said: "The school community and I are very pleased with the results this year – they reflect the hard work, effort and determination of students in Year 11, 12 and 13 to do their very best with the wholehearted support of their teachers and families. I would particularly note in this context that a number of our Year 13 graduates have been students at St George’s for their entire school career; and they all move on to the next stage of their studies with our sincere congratulations and our very best wishes."

This year St George’s is sending three students to Oxbridge; two students to Oxford to read History and Mathematics and one student to Cambridge to read Architecture. Graduates will also be taking up places at other universities in the UK and Europe such as Durham, Bath, Sheffield and St Andrew’s as well as three students who will be studying at University College London.
