Luxembourg's railways, the CFL, has announced that three lines in the Grand Duchy will be closed over Whit / Pentecost, from Saturday 19 to Sunday 27 May 2018.
The works on the railway lines are to enable the CFL to maintain, modernise and extend the rail network, which it does continuously. These railway infrastructure works require the temporary closure of certain sections of lines in order to enable their rapid and safe operation.

During the holidays of Pentecost in Luxembourg, from 19 to 27 May 2018, the CFL will block the section between Esch-sur-Alzette and Pétange on Line 60 (Luxembourg - Esch-sur-Alzette - Pétange - Rodange). The stretch of Line 10 between Ettelbruck and Troisvierges on line 10 (Luxembourg - Troisvierges - Gouvy) will be closed from 22 to 26 May 2018 between 9:15 and 15:30. On week-ends from 19 to 20 May 2018, sections of Lines 10 (Luxembourg - Troisvierges - Gouvy) and 30 (Luxembourg - Wasserbillig - Trier) will be closed.

Various alternative measures will be put in place. In most cases, travellers will have to leave earlier to arrive at their destination at the desired time. People with reduced mobility wishing to board replacement buses should contact the CFL before starting their journey at tel: 4990-3737 or by e-mail:
video-surveillance.zoc@cfl.lu at least one hour in advance for national traffic and 48 hours in advance for international traffic.
