On Monday 7 May 2018, François Bausch, Luxembourg's Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, authorised 27 control officers of Luxembourg's National Railways (CFL) under Article 4 of the amended law of 19 June 2009 on order and safety in public transport.

The authorised agents are entitled to request the exhibition of tickets, to collect administrative fines, to withdraw an infringing ticket, tampered with or invalid. Also, if his/her mission so requires, they are authorised to verify the identity of the persons controlled by requesting an identity document.

In addition, they are also authorised to order persons who, by their behaviour, disturb the order or safety passengers while on public transport, in bus or railway stations and at stops, to leave the vehicle or to move away.

In order to be approved, the agents have undergone special training.
