Due to modernisation works on the railway line between Luxembourg-Gare and Bettembbourg, train travel on lines 60 and 90 will be interrupted during February.

CFL has announced that their main objective is to offer quality services to their customers; to do that, it is essential for them to maintain, modernise and extend the rail network on a continuous basis. These railway infrastructure projects require the temporary closure of certain sections of lines in order to allow their rapid and safe operation.

Various alternative measures (see www.cfl.lu / http://bit.ly/2n3tyPK; printed booklets from Feb) will be put in place. The work will begin on Saturday 10 February 2018, and will end on the night of Sunday 18 February / Monday 19 February 2018. In most cases, travelers will have to leave earlier to arrive at their destination at the desired time.

Persons with reduced mobility wishing to board replacement trains and buses should contact the CFL before starting their journey (tel: 4990-3737 or e-mail: video-surveillance.zoc@cfl.lu) at least one hour in advance for national traffic and 48 hours in advance for international traffic.

During Carnival holidays in Luxembourg, i.e. between Saturday 10 February and Sunday 18 February 2018, the CFL will partially block lines 60 (Luxembourg - Esch-sur-Alzette - Rodange) and 90 (Luxembourg - Bettembourg - Thionville); the sections concerned by the closure is that between Luxembourg and Bettembourg.
