BPI Real Estate Luxembourg has acquired Swiss Life Immo-Arlon SA to carry out real estate developments.

Swiss Life Immo-Arlon SA is the owner of a real estate complex, the former headquarters of Swiss Life in Luxembourg, located at 23 route d'Arlon in Strassen, which comprises two buildings and currently has 3,767m2 of offices.

Jacques Lefèvre, CEO, stated "BPI Real Estate Luxembourg continues through this acquisition to develop real estate projects and in particular, as regards the Route d'Arlon, a project of modern offices and respectful of the environment."

Arnaud Regout of BPI Real Estate Luxembourg, continued "A reconstruction in wood (CLT) is envisaged for this purpose. The unit will thus meet the most stringent standards and criteria in terms of energy consumption and sustainable development. Insofar as the competition for the project acquisition in Luxembourg is extremely strong, the acquisition of this company is a very positive sign."

The site, close to the motorway, located on the main artery connecting Strassen to the centre of Luxembourg and close to many shops, makes it a preferred target. In 2010 BPI Real Estate Luxembourg developed the first HQE building (High Environmental Quality) in Luxembourg (Serenity building: 10,500 m2 (serenity-lux.com)).

BPI Real Estate Luxembourg has been advised in its purchase by Savills and the law firm Dentons.
