The Anglican Church of Luxembourg has announced details of its second Sports fundraising day being held on Sunday 17 June 2018.

The family-friendly event is hosted at the sports field next to the Coque leisure centre in Kirchberg (2 rue Léon Hengen) where, from 12:30 until 18:00, there will be a range of sporty challenges for adults and youngsters to discover.

Like last year, there will be a bouncy castle, snail racing and participants can take the sporty challenge, completing six activities such as apple bobbing and Splat the Rat to win a prize.

New elements this year will see players from Luxembourg Touch Rugby, who will demonstrate this rapidly emerging sport which can be played in mixed teams and will also lead a short workshop.

Visitors can purchase refreshments from the bar, and fuel their sporting endeavours by buying food from the cake stand or barbecue.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be live music for those who want to sit and enjoy a sunny afternoon in a relaxed atmosphere.

All proceeds from this event go to the church’s selected charities for the year, including:
- Greyton Genadendal Education Trust – South Africa
- World Vision – Romania
- Naledi – South Africa
- COPE (Co-operative Orthotic and Prosthetic Enterprise) – Laos
