On Wednesday 9 March 2016 at 20:30, Earth Wind & Fire Experience, featuring Al McKay, will be performing at the Chapito at the Casino2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains, as part of their world tour.
The funk ensemble was one of the most popular bands in the 1970s; it also incorporates elements of jazz, smooth soul, gospel, pop, rock & roll, psychedelic, blues, folk, African music and later disco.
The lead singer Philip Bailey gave Earth Wind & Fire an extra dimension with his talent as a crooner for sentimental ballads in addition to funk workouts; behind him, the group harmonises as a suave Motown group, working a bubbling groove or improvising like a jazz fusion formation.
