Go By Brooks, 2018;

The Brasserie K116 in Esch-sur-Alzette (116 Rue de Luxembourg) is organising a diner-concert on Wednesday 25 July 2018, with the concert scheduled to start at 21:00.

The K116 Brasserie offers quality dinner-concerts every last Wednesday of the month at around 21:00, featuring many of the best artists from Luxembourg and the Greater Region (concertsa are always free-of-charge). This is the last concert before the summer break - the next concert will take place on Wednesday 26 September 2018.

Laetitia's solo project - she is a big fan of the poet, novelist and singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen - the group has grown since its creation in 2013 to stand out largely from the acoustic folk side from the start. The cliché of the young blonde woman alone on the guitar was not much for Laetitia, who wanted to focus on electric instruments and move into a more pop-rock and classic rock repertoire.

From one, then three, to today consisting of five members, Go By Brooks has found its balance and the scenic expression of the new pieces is enhanced greatly. This virtuosity, the conservatoire's classical teaching, not to mention this touch of madness-funk added to the rather dark lyrics of Laetitia have finally found their way up to their pitch and give the songs that particular melancholy that is the signature of the combo. Fine and subtle, the pieces leave plenty of room for instrumental solos, but can also end with thunderous guitar duets on stage.

The first EP, "Rivers", was released in 2015 and the second, "Oceans" in 2016. Since then, concerts in Luxembourg and the Greater Region have followed, especially in 2017, where they performed in Luxembourg, as well as in Metz, Saarbrücken, Trier and Arlon. They have been relatively quiet this year to work on new compositions and this is one of the rare concerts that the group will do this summer. Go By Brooks will present its brand new album at Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette on 8 December 2018.

Located beside the Kulturfabrik, Brasserie K116 offers an industrial atmosphere, located in a former slaughterhouse. The cuisine is brasserie-style, with a large choice of meats - a must-see place - but also more trendy influences such as vegetarian or local dishes. Excellent value for a midday meal that changes every week.
