Body Count, an American heavy metal band fronted by Ice-T, will return to the Rockhal in Esch-Belval on Tuesday 25 June 2024; doors open at 19:00 for an 20:00 start.

This upcoming concert forms part of the band's Merciless Tour and marks their return to the Rockhal after a sold-out concert back in 2018.

Body Count is a heavy metal band that originated in Los Angeles, California (US) in the 1990s. The band was formed by rapper Ice-T, who wanted to create a group that blended his love for metal music with his politically charged lyrics. Body Count's music is a fusion of thrash metal, punk rock and hip hop, with lyrics addressing themes of social justice, police brutality and racial inequality.

Body Count have collaborated with various other artists in the metal and hip hop scenes, including Slayer, Biohazard and Public Enemy. The band released their seventh studio album, Carnivore, in March 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic saw them unable to play concerts to promote it. In fact, they had been scheduled to return to the Rockhal stage in June 2020 but the concert was cancelled due to the pandemic.

In June 2021, Body Count announced that they had begun working on their eighth album, Merciless.

Tickets (prices from €50.60) for their upcoming Rockhal show will go on sale on Friday 2 February 2024 at 10:00: https://rockhal.lu/shows/body-count-feat-ice-t/.
