Rugby Club Luxembourg (RCL) has secured new sponsorship.

This sponsorship is aimed at enabling the club to buy new equipment, enhance its programmes and promote rugby.

The Maples Group recently announced its decision to sponsor RCL, providing the club with "crucial resources". In addition to helping the club purchase new equipment, etc., this sponsorship is expected to positively impact the club's long-standing involvement in community projects in Nairobi, Kenya, where it has been donating equipment, providing coaching and sponsoring children to play and study in Luxembourg since 2018.

Paolo Tarakdjian, President of RCL, shared his thoughts on the newly acquired sponsorship. He emphasised how the club has evolved from a group of friends playing rugby in a cow field to becoming the largest rugby club in Luxembourg. This partnership not only provides financial support but is also expected to amplify RCL's success in both sporting projects and community activities. Paolo added that he appreciated the "passion, respect and camaraderie" within the rugby community, with this sponsorship adding to the club's growth and achievements.

Johan Terblanche, Managing Partner of Maples and Calder Luxembourg Sarl, the Maples Group's law firm in Luxembourg, said: "We are delighted to sponsor Rugby Club Luxembourg. We are committed to fostering strong relationships and making a positive impact in the communities where we operate and we wish Rugby Club Luxembourg all the success, on and off the field, for the year ahead."
