For the first time in Luxembourg, Delhaize has teamed up with members of local amateur sports clubs to offer sticker collections of local sports heroes.

From 10 March to 20 April 2016, customers are able to collect stickers of players from the Dësch-Tennis Frënn Bartreng, VC Strassen, FC UNA Strassen, the Basketball Club Résidence Walferdange, the FC Residence Walfer teams, whilst stickers for the clubs BLO Wäiss Izeg Alzingen, FC Yellow-Boys Alzingen, FC Déifferdeng 03 and FC The Belval Belvaux will be available from 7 April to 18 May 2016.

The supermarket chain has claimed that the initiative forms part of its objective to honour the strengths and qualities of its clients, both large and small, and in so doing promote the clubs of local communes in which it is present, namely Walferdange, Bertrange, Strassen, Belval and Alzingen.

During the aforementioned periods, Delhaize customers will receive a free sticker sleeve for every 15€ purchase, whilst additional stickers will also be available upon the purchase of certain items, which will be indicated in-store. Albums can be bought for 4.95€.

The weekend following the initiative, an exchange event will be held by the club and clients as a means of passing stickers back and forth in a friendly atmosphere.
