The non-profit organisation Patrimoine Roses pour le Luxembourg will be offering around 50 species of Luxembourg rose for sale from Tuesday 31 May to Saturday 4 June 2016 at La Belle Étoile shopping centre as part of Rosier Heritage Week.
The rose species, available in limited quantities, will include Bagatelle 1848, Baronne de Vivario 1925, Bordeaux 1908, Clothilde Soupert 1890, Comtesse de Roquette Buisson 1908.
Modern roses dedicated to Luxembourg will also be available, including Alexandra, Princesse de Luxembourg 2009, Aline Mayrisch Rose 2014, Avec Amour 2012, Bonjour Luxembourg 2013 and Fräiheetsrous-Rosier de la Liberté 2015.
Interested parties will be able to benefit from advice on the choice of rose. It is recommended to combine roses with perennials, annuals or lavender, to buy from specialist retailers or the markeg. A theoretical course on pruning will be provided daily at 17:00 and a Bonjour Luxembourg crémant will be offered on-site.
Rose sales will go towards the Fondation Cancer, ALAN - Maladies Rares Luxembourg, the Association Luxembourgeoise d'Aide aux Enfants Cardiaques and the Association Luxembourgeoise pour le Prévention des Sévices à Enfants - ALUPSE asbl.
