Lidl yesterday began the construction of its 10th and largest store in Luxembourg, located in Foetz.

The Lidl supermarket chain has officially marked the start of the building of its 10th Luxembourg store located on Rue du Brill. The municipality of Foetz recently gave a favourable opinion to the project of transformation of the former Opel garage.

On a sales floor of 1702m2, the layout of the largest Lidl store in Luxembourg will be designed to allow a pleasant shopping experience. The brand intends to confirm its position as a provider of affordable products by proposing a diversified fresh produce offer at the lowest price.

In addition to generating 25 new jobs, the store will incorporate sustainable elements such as solar panels and charging stations for cars and bicycles.

Construction work began yesterday, on 9 May 2018, with the ambition to open the store in the first quarter of 2019.
