Luxembourg supermarket chain Cactus and the ice cream brand Bargello have signed a partnership to stock the ice cream in seven stores across the Grand Duchy.

Cactus and Bargello, the artisanal ice cream company with establishments in Luxembourg City and Brussels, have just formed a partnership for the marketing of high-end ice creams and sorbets.

Ice cream as we know it today was born in Florence in the sixteenth century. With the opening of the Bargello Glacier in the heart of Luxembourg City, in the station area, its founder Laura Fontani introduced the real ice cream of Florentine tradition to the residents of the capital. Now the artisanal ice-cream parlour and the Cactus brand have just entered into a dynamic partnership for the marketing of Bargello's frozen specialties in Cactus outlets.

Coming from a family of Florentine glaciers, Laura Fontani has a deep-rooted passion for ice cream. She develops and refines all the recipes herself with a know-how that has been passed from father to daughter. The. As far as possible all products come from Luxembourg or the Greater Region and, in order to guarantee the freshness and quality of her frozen creations, Laura Fontani carefully selects each ingredient and entirely renounces the addition of artificial colours or flavours in order to preserve the authentic taste and creaminess of the ice creams.

Nearly a dozen flavours, varying over the seasons and packaged in 500ml jars or small pots, are now available at Cactus Belle Etoile, Cactus Howald, Cactus Bereldange, Cactus Limpertsberg, Cactus Merl, Cactus Windhof and Cactus Remich.
