Today marked the launch of the new Luxembourg online retail platform “LetzShop.lu”, scheduled to go live in September this year.

As part of the "Pakt PRO Commerce" to support the development and digitisation of the urban retail market, LetzShop.lu offers all Luxembourgish businesses an online showcase to highlight what they have to offer and sell their products directly from the Internet. Purchases made through the platform can either be delivered to the customer's home or taken directly to the stores, thus revitalising urban commerce.

Initiated by the Ministry of the Economy, the Economic Interest Grouping (GIE) Luxembourg for Shopping is in charge of setting up and managing the national platform for e-commerce. The GIE brings together the Ministry of the Economy, the Chamber of Commerce, the Luxembourg Confederation of Commerce (clc) and the 16 municipalities currently participating in the project. Merchants on the platform pay GIE an annual fee of €500 to take advantage of the e-commerce solution turnkey, without paying commission on sales.

The platform will be officially online on 14 September 2018. Currently, more than 100 businesses have already confirmed their participation and the completion of their online stores is underway. Luxembourgish businesses wishing to offer their products on the "LetzShop.lu" platform should contact the LetzShop.lu team via email: contact@letzshop.lu for more information.
