This large-scale project has been originally carried out by IKEA Belgium. As it did previously in Mons (2015) and Hasselt (2017), IKEA Belgium has created a new commercial destination on its Arlon-Sterpenich site to meet the needs of the greatest number of people in home and leisure equipment - two buoyant segments of the retail sector. Offering a wide choice and a more enjoyable shopping experience, the consolidation of complementary brands on one site meets consumer demand and changing purchasing patterns.
10,000 m2 of commercial space
- Extra: articles for house furnishing and decoration, cleaning products, cosmetics. This is the 35th store of this growing Belgian brand.
- Intersport: sporting goods for all disciplines. It is the 6th point of sale of the world No. 1 sector in Belgium.
- Light Gallery: more than 2,000 lighting models in all styles. This is the 11th store opened by this Belgian lighting specialist.
- Maisons du Monde: stylish and inspiring furniture and decorative objects. This is the 22nd store that the French chain has implemented in Belgium.
- Plum'Art: Belgian bedding specialist. An 18th point of sale cultivating "the art of sleeping well".
The sixth and last available unit should quickly find takers. None of these signs was previously present in this part of Belgium's Province of Luxembourg. They therefore bring a real complementarity to the current offer and will certainly attract a large audience. The Arlon Retail Park targets a family clientele wishing to make semi-current purchases (average of four visits per year).
The stores present create nearly 60 direct jobs.
Arlon Retail Park is located on the esplanade of IKEA, the owner of the site. IKEA Belgium spent €14.8 million on the development of this new commercial centre. Its location, at the crossroads of the Belgian, Luxembourg and French borders and close to the motorway network, is obviously one of its major assets.
