Dog Food Recalled due to Salmonella Risk

Dog food products from the brands FriGera and Real Nature have been recalled in Luxembourg due to a possible salmonella threat.

The European Early Warning Network has informed the Luxembourg food authorities of the suspicion of salmonella in the following dog treats: "FriGera Rinderkopfhaut" (500g) with the article number 1011128 and lot numbers 300920, 30122003 and 30092003 and "Real Nature Wilderness Strauss Mix" (150g) with the article number 1246039 and lot numbers 643180028755 and 645180030189 (expiry dates 25/10/2020 and 07/11/2020).

These products were sold in Fressnapf Bertrange, Foetz XXL, Mersch, Ingeldorf, Howald, Wemperhart, Walferdange and Grevenmacher.

Only products with the specified lot numbers are affected. The products in question were removed from sale, but some was sold to the final consumer. Customers have the option of bringing the product back to the point of sale where they purchased it.
