The first Circle K shop in Luxembourg opened its doors in Esch-Belval, three months after the finalisation of the acquisition of 60% of the Network & TotalEnergies maps by Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc/Circle K.

Luxembourg and cross-border customers will now be able to discover the new shop concepts, food products, drinks and coffee of the international Circle K brand.

The new Circle K shop was transformed in one week and features a food corner, with freshly prepared sandwiches and the brand's specialty hot dogs in addition to a coffee corner offering a wide variety of coffees.

In the future, when transforming car wash facilities, Circle K noted its plans to offer a seasonal wash designed to respond to the varying effects of each season on cars throughout the year.

Circle K emphasised that its entry into the Luxembourg market is an important step in the company’s strategy to establish itself in Europe. Other Circle K shops, which will also act as pilot stations, aim to open soon in Luxembourg. In a few weeks, the shop at the TotalEnergies “Wasserbillig Nord” service station will also be rebranded with the Circle K colours. In the coming months, Circle K will test new product offerings in these shops and adapt them to the needs of local consumers and cross-border workers. For the first five years, totems, awnings and service stations will continue to show the TotalEnergies brand, although some shops and car wash facilities will be renamed Circle K in the months and years to come.

Congratulations to the teams and partners who did a fantastic job in setting up our new Circle K shop quickly and efficiently on the Belval site. At Circle K, our mission is to make our customers' lives a little easier every day. We look forward to the upcoming opening of other Circle K shops in Luxembourg,” said Frank Reuter, Vice-President of Circle K Luxembourg.
