STEP Benelux has announced details of a STEP BeNeLux evening Seminar being held on Thursday 2 July 2015 at 18:00 at Cercle Munster (5-7 rue Munster, L-2160 Luxembourg-Grund).
The presentation on “THE CHANGING ENVIRONMENT IN TAX TRANSPARENCY: THE IMPACT ON NON-DOMS AND HOW TO PLAN FOR THE FUTURE" will be presented by James Capper and Martin Callahan of BDO London.
JAMES CAPPER is a Senior Tax Manager at BDO LLP specialising in the taxation of high net worth individuals. He has over 16 years’ experience, all at BDO, in personal, inheritance and trust taxation with a particular focus on International Private Clients.
MARTIN CALLAGHAN is a Senior Tax Manager at BDO LLP with over 15 years of tax experience. He specialises in managing complex tax enquiries and voluntary disclosures to HM Revenue & Customs for both UK domiciled and non-UK domiciled clients.
CONTENT: The presentation will provide an overview of the UK tax system as it applies to UK resident, non-UK domiciled, individuals and areas of practical consideration. It will also provide an update on the OECD’s Common Reporting Standard and its implications both for financial institutions and also their clients. Once the CRS takes effect, the UK tax authorities will receive an unprecedented level of information concerning the financial assets held by UK residents – regardless of whether they are UK domiciled or not.
