The Luxembourg Stock Exchange has reflected on its achievements from last year, notably having listed €6 trillion bond issues by the end of the year.

In addition, the Stock Exchange had 11,128 new listings and €1.11 trillion bonds issued in 2017, having also launched a series of new products and platforms and strengthened relations with its Chinese partners throughout the year.

The past 12 months also saw the launch of two new segments dedicated to sustainable and social project by the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX). In its first year, LGX grew by 63% and listed green bonds in Luxembourg constitute more than half of all listed green bonds globally.

With regards to technological advances, 2017 saw the Stock Exchange run the first real blockchain transaction in the history of investments funds through its subsidiary Fundsquare and its platform FundsDLT. It also sealed a collaboration agreement on FinTech with the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) of the University of Luxembourg and revamped its website, to feature the latest technology and content adapted to deliver a unique customer experience.
