During his trip to China this week, Luxembourg's Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, focused on two main areas: FinTech and Green Finance; regarding the latter, Minister Gramegna met with Leslie Maasdorp, Vice-President of the New Development Bank to discuss current developments in the bank and its projects in the field of green finance.

Minister Gramegna had a similar meeting with the Asian Investment Infrastructure Bank in Beijing, where President Jin Liqun presented a report on his organisation's activities over the past twelve months. These meetings strengthened Luxembourg's position as a centre of competence in the field of green finance.

In this spirit, the Minister of Finance attended the signing ceremony of an addendum to the collaboration agreement between the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and the Shanghai Stock Exchange, which will strengthen the commercial links between the two exchanges, to display the green bonds simultaneously in Shanghai and Luxembourg.
