- Julie Meynen, Women's 100m Freestyle, 28th in the heats with a time of 55.54 secs (top time: 53.22 by Sarah SJOSTROM of Sweden) out of 90 starters - the Luxembourg record stands at 55.29 secs (Julie Meynen)

- Laurent Carnol, Men's 200m Breaststroke, 18th in the heats with a time of 2:11:65 (top time: 2:09:12 by Marco KOCH of Germany) out of 52 starters - the Luxembourg record stands at 2:01:71 (Jean-Francois Schneiders)

And on Friday:

- Julien Henx, Men's 50m Freestyle, 37th in the heats with a time of 22.97 secs - a new national record (top time: 21.71 by Florent MANAUDOU of France) out of 113 starters - the previous Luxembourg national record was 23.03 (Julien Henx).

- Raphael STACCHIOTTI, Men's 100m Butterfly, 54th in the heats with a time of 55.96 secs (top time: 50.91 by Laszlo CSEH of Hungary) out of 73 starters - the Luxembourg record stands at 54.30 (Raphael STACCHIOTTI)

- Monique OLIVIER, Women's 800m Freestyle, 28th in the heats with a time of 8:45:37 - a new national record (top time: 8:19:42 by Katie LEDECKY of the USA) out of 43 starters - the previous Luxembourg national record was 8:47:71 (Monique OLIVIER).
