Top British swimmer Adam Peaty has confirmed that he will participate in the upcoming Euro Meet swimming gala at the Coque in Luxmbourg-Kirchberg which is being held for the 20th time this year.

At the recent European Short Course (25m) Swimming Championships in Copenhagen, where he tallied bronze at the 50m breaststroke and gold at the 100m breaststroke (in a European record in 55.94 secs), he offered the latter medal to a young Danish girl. With his autograph, the picture created quite a stir.

Peaty, who attended the Euro Meet last year for the first time, is eager to see if he is able to beat his own meet records. Last summer at the World Championships in Budapest, he won both short breaststoke races, the 50m and the 100m, and was a key asset for the British 4x100m medley relay team in finishing second to the USA.

He owns both long course world records, the 50m breaststroke in 25.95 secs established in Budapest 2017, and the 100m breaststroke in 57.13 secs at the Olympic Games Rio 2016.
