Almost 150 young swimming talents took to the swimming pool in Wiltz on Sunday 18 March 2018 for the Grand Prix de l'Avenir of the Luxembourg Swimming Federation, the FLNS.

Depending on the age range, four or five individual races were on the programme and the most versatile boy swimmer was sought from 10 to 13 years or the most versatile girl swimmer aged between 9 and 12 years.

Teodora Grujic-Martins from Swimming Luxembourg prevailed with 40 points, just ahead of Nour Mostafa (38 points) and Enny Philippart (24) from SC Monnerech. The year 2008 category was won by Joyce Bleses from Ettelbrück with 40 points ahead of two swimmers from Swimming Luxembourg, Amelie Scholer with 32 points and Nina Hric with 29 points.

In the 2007 girls' class, Mengija Han from Swimming Luxembourg dominated with a maximum score of 60, followed by club-mate Linda Krombach (42) and Lea Petesch from SC Monnerech with 34 points. Petange's Madeleine Bordonaro secured victory for 12-year-old girls with 54 points ahead of Sofia Carneiro (51) and Michèle Bayanaa (33 points).

Evan Viguier (SL) prevailed with 37 points for the boys in the 2008 category. Second was Jules Moog (SL) with 29 points and third place went to Mats Visser from the SCDE with 25 points.

With four out of four possible wins and 48 points, Albert Chaussard of CN Dudelange won the boys' 2007 class. Second place went to Jamie Ley from Ettelbrück with 29 points, followed by Anton Fedosseev from the SL with 26 points.

Thijmen Rikkert of the SL secured the victory with 49 points in the 2006 category, closely followed by fellow club Kevin Peusch (48) and Ben Wester (32) of the CN Dudelange. For the 13-year-old, the entire podium went to Swimming Luxembourg. Riccardo Lucarelli (SL) won all five individual races and finished first with 60 points. Second Darius Florean (41 points), third place went to Nuno Carneiro with 36 points.

At the end, the mixed relay races over 4x25 and 4x50 metres were on the programme. The "short squad" was won by the team of Swimming Luxembourg with Nina Hric, Anton Fedosseev, Louis Thill and Amelie Scholer (1:16.73) in front of the team of Le Daphin Ettelbrück (1:20.02) with Emely Albers, Jonah Pütz, Joyce Bleses, Jamie Ley and the quartet of Team 3 of the Swimming Luxembourg (1:23.66) Jules Moog, Eva Krombach, Teodora Grujic-Martins and Evan Viguier.

The podium of the 4x50 metres medley was firmly in the hands of the Swimming Luxembourg. The first team won with Sofia Carneiro, Mathilde Lurkin, Riccardo Lucarelli and Darius Florean won in 2:15.51. Second place went to Kevin Peusch, Linda Krombach, Mengjia Han and Mathis Moog in 2:26.96 minutes. With a time of 2:39.31 minutes, Team SL reached the finish line in third with with Thijmen Rikkert, Sam Jominet, Rafael Sütö and Sophie Ntaganda.​
