Two important events on the Luxembourg swimming agenda are coming up this weekend: the Mare Nostrum Monaco from 16-17 June and the Festival de l'Avenir 2018 in Oberkorn on 17 June 2018.

Representing the Grand Duchy at this first event, held in Monaco, will be Julie Meynen in the 50m and 100m Freestyle Women, Pit Brandenburger in the 50m,100m, 200m and 400m Freestyle Men and Raphael Stacchiotti in the 100m Butterfly Men and 200m Medley Men races.

Meanwhile, the young swimmers from 10 Luxembourg swimming clubs will be competing at this Sunday's Festival de l'Avenir 2018 in Aquasud in Oberkorn. The competitors include 146 athletes (76 boys and 69 girls) with 535 individual and 14 relay decisions. The races will feature the 50m Breaststroke, 50m, 100m and 400m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, 100m and 200m Medley, and the Mixed 4x50m Relay. The best three swimmers for each track will be awarded medals and the fastest three overall will receive trophies.

The competitions start at 09:30 and 14:30 and take place in the Centre Aquatique Aquasud (Avenue du Parc des Sports L-4671 Differdange).
