Orange has announced that it is the first operator across Luxembourg to launch a "Click and Collect" service allowing customers to choose and reserve a smartphone online and then pick it up from the nearest shop, just two hours later.

“Click and connect" combines digital with local and retail shopping in Luxembourg’s town centres.

Efficiency and simplicity are the key words of this service. The customer chooses his/her smartphone and his subscription online. The platform then indicates the availability in the shop closest to him, thanks to a geolocation system based on real-time stocks. Two hours later, he/she can collect his/her order from the shop of his/her choice.

“Click and Collect” strengthens e-commerce while favouring contact with the customer in familiar trading areas. This digital and human combination thus allows Orange Luxembourg to maintain proximity and the ability to provide advice, particularly for ever increasingly sophisticated smartphones that require quality product support for smooth familiarisation.

For Orange, this service also helps to meet the needs of a connected clientele, urban and young, looking for this type of service. The figures confirm this is the case as 78% of Luxembourger residents regularly buy online, much more than the rest of the European population.

The service is available online at Orange.lu and 7 Orange shops of the 11 of the Grand Duchy are already connected to "Click and Collect".

Initial users are already expressing great satisfaction with the service, and particularly stress the time saving and the very good support: “I really liked the fact that the shop confirmed my reservation, I was sure I wasn’t travelling there for nothing," said Dany who has opted to use "Click and Collect" at the Belle Etoile Orange shop.
