Luxembourg's Mandy Minella (29, ranked #216) is currently in Vancouver on the west coast of Canada to play in the Vancouver ITF tennis championship, a hard-court tournament with USD 100,000 in prize money being played at the Hollyburn Country Club; in Sunday's qualifiers for the Women's Singles tournement she defeated Xinyun Han with a 2 set victory, 6-1, 6-1; her next match is against Lyudmyla Kichenok (#295) or Misa Eguchi (23, Japan, ranked #190).

In the doubles, she is playing alongside Olga Savchuk (27, Ukraine, ranked #248) - they last played together in Bogota earlier this year where they lost in the first round, but also played together here in Vanvouver three years ago; together they face Jacqueline Cako (23 yrs, USA, ranked #497) and playing partner 25 year-old Natalie Pluskota of the USA.
