On Sunday 19 November 2017, the SOS Faim Alternative Food Market will be returning to Luxembourg, taking place in Tramschapp from 12:00 to 18:00.

SOS Faim have organised the second edition of their alternative market to highlight the alternatives to our dependence on the agro-industry and the need to reduce its impact on developing countries.

The market is part of the “Changeons de menu!” campaign launched by SOS Faim in 2015 which has brought together the actors of the Responsible Food Menu to enable consumers to meet responsible food advocates. The campaign therefore aims to inform the public on where to buy sustainable, local and seasonal food products in the surrounding area, allow them to become familiar with cuisine which does not damage the climate or people, engage in a community garden, combat food waste and discover the value of farmers’ seed systems.

Sales and information stands, exhibitions, catering, DIY workshops, mini-conferences and debates as well as children's entertainment will also be present at this upcoming food market.

Also present will be pineapple producers from Benin, who will explain why changing the menu does not mean suspending all imports, and the Minister of Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development, Fernand Etgen.

Admission to the Alternative Food Market is free of charge.
