Albert Lee;

This Friday 10 November 2017, the Grand Auditoire of Opderschmelz will come alive with blues-rock, featuring performances from Albert Lee, The Brew and Remo Cavallini Blues Band.

The upcoming Blues-Rock Night at Opderschmelz will kick off with the living guitar legend Albert Lee who was a former member of the UK-based band Hogan’s Heroes. Albert, who has performed alongside the Everly Brothers and Eric Clapton as a solo artist, now leads his own American band comprised of JT Thomas on keyboards, Jason Smith on drums and Will MacGregor on bass. Along the way, Albert has won two Grammys with Brad Paisley and Earl Scruggs and has garnered three additional nominations.

The second act will be The Brew, hailing from England’s Grimsby. The British trio have just released their sixth album “Shake The Tree” which showcases their modern, psychedelic-inspired rock. The band has been touring internationally for the past decade with two of the three members still being in their twenties.

Last but not least, Luxembourg blues guitarist and songwriter Remo Cavallini will take the stage with his Blues Band. Cavallini’s career started at the age of 14 when he performed on stage in Luxembourg. Alongside René Macri on bass guitar, Jeff Herr on drums, Pit Kuffer on the trumpet, Fernand Neumann on tenor saxophone and Priscila Da Costa on vocals, Cavallini has performed across Europe and supported acts like Ten Years After, Lucky Peterson and Scott Henderson among other blues artists.

The Blues-Rock Night will begin at 19:30. Pre-sale tickets cost €20 (+ fees), tickets at the door will be available for €25 and entry is free for those with a Kulturpass.
