In January 2018, TROIS C-L will open the new year with the premiere of two choreographic creations relating to migration and immigration.

On 3 and 4 January, TROIS-CL will invite the artistic community in Luxembourg to question the double-theme of “Migration/Immigration”, looking at the current political, economic and social situation.

The first show LEAVE, choreographed by Jennifer Gohier and Grégory Beaumont, is a participative performance which aims to get the audience involved in this new experience of perpetual movement. The dancer-actors of this production there to guide the audience are Julie Barthélémy, Georges Maikel Pires Monteiro and Piera Jovic.

The second show Art 13, created by Sandy Flinto and Pierrick Grobéty, is a collective, multidisciplinary artistic project bringing together dance, live music and performance on the stage. Dancers Giovanni Zazzera, Catarina Barbosa and Baptiste Hilbert will portray different forms of migration through fragmented and intertwined stories of disordered lives and people in search of an identity.

In addition, the public will also have the chance to discover Jean-Louis Schuller’s Chungking Dream normally found in the MUDAM. The film depicts Chungking Mansions in Hong Kong, a “city within a city” and a multicultural microcosm constantly in motion. TROIS-CL will also be holding a photography exhibition inspired by the “I’m not a refugee” movement, initiated by Frédérique Buck in 2016. The project is aimed at giving a voice to refugees in Luxembourg.

The two “Migration/Immigration” shows will be held on 3 and 4 January 2018 respectively at Banannefabrik starting at 19:00.
