The Ville de Luxembourg has stated that the Pirate Ship playground ("Pirateschëff") will be partially closed to the public between 14 May and 7 June due to repair works to be undertaken.

The "Pirateschëff" playground is located in the city park between Avenue Monterey and Avenue Emile Reuter.

The Ville de Luxembourg manages more than 200 playgrounds, including several thematic playgrounds (castle, airport, farm, pirate ship, etc.) to aid the development of children. The city has published a new leaflet "Playgrounds" with a map listing all the playgrounds, multi-sports fields, skate tracks and petanque tracks, and are available at the Luxembourg City Tourist Office, the Bierger-Center, the Hôtel de Ville and online at http://spillplazen.vdl.lu
