The English-speaking section of natur&emwelt has organised a visit to the Cinqfontaines Abbey on Saturday 9 June 2018, starting at 11:00.

Participants will take the train to Troisvierges and walk cross-country (about 3km, or 45 minutes) to Cinqfontaines Abbey. Still (but only just) a working monastery, Cinqfontaines acquired notoriety during the Nazi occupation as the internment camp for Luxembourg's Jewish population, prior to their deportation, in most cases to Auschwitz.

The visit will include a guided tour, in English, of the grounds and of the abbey itself, before participants make their way back to the Troisvierges station via a different, equally scenic route.

The visit is free of charge but registration is required via https://www.eventbrite.com/e/train-walk-and-visit-to-cinqfontaines-abbey-saturday-9-june-2018-tickets-45939385940.
