The Hindu Forum Luxembourg is organising various events on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 August 2018, including thread changing ceremonies and the Janai Purnima festival, at the forum's premises at 219 Rue De Beggen, L1221 Luxembourg.

On Saturday 25 August, the association will host a Rig Upakarma (thread changing) ceremony from 12:00-13:30, followed by Abhishekam and Archana for Vinayaga and a Vishnu Saharanamam recital from 18:00-20:00. 

On Sunday 26 August, another thread changing ceremony, Yajur Upakarma, will take place from 09:00-11:00, followed by a Janai Purnima/Bratabandha Upkarma Hindu festival from 11:00 onwards. 

For Upakarma, participants are requested to bring Pancha Patram, Udhurni, Tambalam with fruits, coconuts and flowers; Prasad optional. The dress code is Veshti / alternatively Pijama for Upakarma performers, who should arrive by 08:45.

The sacred thread (Punool) , Pavithram and Dhraby etc., required for the ceremony will be provided by the forum.

For both the days, the rituals will be officiated and facilitated by Shri Krishnavarahan of Chennai India, currently living and working in Denmark. He will be assisted by the forum's Purshottamji. Children and families welcome.
