The Train 1900 tourist attraction in Pétange is holding an Open Day on Sunday 9 September 2018 between 11:00 and 18:00 at the Minnet Park Fonds-de-Gras.
During this year's traditional open day, the workshops of Train 1900 will be open to the public and free guided tours will be organised. Visitors will also be able to attend forging demonstrations.
The non-profit association ProActif, whose team is active throughout the year at the Fond-de-Gras, will also present - in a workshop - its projects and achievements.
The 1900 Train will heat several steam locomotives that will run throughout the day according to a reinforced schedule. Departures from Petange to the Fond-de-Gras: 11:00, 13:25, 14:15, 15:30, 16:15, 17:30, 18:20
The "Minièresbunn" mining train will run from the Fond-de-Gras for a visit to the mine at 13:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00.
In the historic buildings of the Fond-de-Gras, several exhibitions will be freely accessible.
And catering will be served throughout the day.
