The Grand-Château d'Ansembourg has announced its Heritage Days Programme for the week-end of 21-23 September 2018 in the Vallée des 7 Chateaux; guided tours of the gardens and the main building, as well as the flora of the valley, will be offered throughout the week-end, from 10:00 to 18:00 daily.
 
At the present stage of the restoration of the central building which still allows one to see the techniques used, visitors will be given the unique opportunity to meet the craftsmen who participated in the current construction project, as well as to discover their tools and techniques, the traditional trades they help to maintain and renew the stonework, the hemp-lime plaster and also the gilding on wood.
 
A conference on the styles of gilding on wood will be given on Saturday 22 September at 15:00 by Julien Rapin. Another conference on the figures of Artemis and his brother Apollo will be given by Olga Kalyva, on Sunday 23 September at 15:00. A beaded Rosaline lace workshop by Ghislaine Moors and an exhibition of her laces in the central building will provide an insight into her art that she has transmitted to her students since the Bruges region in seven European countries. In addition, a link between the arts of Europe and Japan, an exhibition of traditional "Hida Sashiko" embroidery will be proposed in another building by the City of Takayama, located in the Japanese Alps.

For children, a specific programme of artistic workshops (painting and pottery), theatre and other animations will be offered by Ruth Haberecht, Karin Klei, Marie-Christine Pelaux and Lucie Biteau.
