The service of integration and specific needs at the Ville de Luxembourg has announced that a "Dinner in the dark" will take place on Friday 15 March 2019 from 19:00 - 22:00 at Casa Fabiana (3 rue de Bonnevoie, L-1260 Bonnevoie).

The event is being organised again this year following the great success of such "dinners in the dark" that were organised in recent years by the Ville de Luxembourg.

During the dinner, participants will be guided by visually impaired people and will have the opportunity to live an unusual experience and share their perceptions and experiences. Through this initiative, the Ville de Luxembourg seeks to raise awareness among the general public of the specific needs of those affected and blindness in general. At the same time, this activity promotes the creation of links between the participants and encourages sustainable living together.

Reservations: As the number of places is limited, those interested in participating are requested to book their places in advance with the Integration and Specific Needs Service, tel: 4796-4215 or email: makayser@vdl.lu

The vegetarian menu costs €35 per person, with the other menus (meat or fish) €40 per person. Drinks are not included in the menus.

Special Needs Awareness Weeks - Call for Participation

In anticipation of the next Special Needs Awareness Weeks, which will take place from the end of April to the beginning of June 2019, the Integration and Specific Needs Service of the Ville de Luxembourg is appealing to associations wishing to be part as partners of the event. Thus, other dinners in the dark, information stands, shows, conferences, film screenings, exhibitions and guided tours, allowing the public to better understand the daily lives and needs of those concerned, will be organised.
